I am an Applied Operator Theorist and I serve as Professor of Mathematical Engineering and Researcher
at the National Autonomous University of Honduras. I conduct research in operator approximation theory
and its applications in mathematical modeling and numerical simulation.
My main research areas are: structured operator approximation, optimization and control, system identification,
model reduction and model simplification. I am particularly interested in neural network representation
of operators, sparse approximation and neural network modeling of dynamical systems.
I am currently serving as coordinator of the Scientific Computing Innovation Center at UNAH Tegucigalpa.
I am also a member of the international scientific committees of the journals Revista de Matemática:
Teoría y Aplicaciones of the University of Costa Rica, and Revista de la Escuela de Física of the
National Autonomous University of Honduras.
