I am a mathematical engineer conducting research in structure-preserving function approximation
and its applications in data-driven modeling and predictive analytics.
My main research areas are: structure-preserving function approximation, optimization and control,
system identification, model reduction and model simplification. I am particularly interested in
neural network representation of nonlinear dynamic systems.
I am currently serving as Associate Professor of Mathematical Engineering at UNAH Tegucigalpa.
I am also a member of the international scientific committees of the journals Revista de Matemática:
Teoría y Aplicaciones of the University of Costa Rica, and Revista de la Escuela de Física of the
National Autonomous University of Honduras.
