Dr. Fredy Vides

Associate Professor of Mathematical Engineering, Department of Applied Mathematics, UNAH.

I am an applied mathematician conducting research on algorithmic metamodeling for complex systems,
with emphasis on structure-preserving modeling, system identification, scientific machine learning,
and predictive and prescriptive analytics under uncertainty.

My main research interests include structure-preserving function approximation, optimization and control,
system identification, model reduction, reservoir computing, and interpretable data-driven modeling.
I am particularly interested in mathematical and computational frameworks for representing, predicting,
and sustainably orienting industrial, financial, and networked cyber-physical-human systems.

I am currently serving as Associate Professor of Mathematical Engineering at UNAH in Tegucigalpa.

I am a member of the International Federation of Automatic Control IFAC.
